StudioB is a place where a blowing wind of industry professionals fans the curiosity flames of filmmaking. In StudioB we bring the outside world in through a wide array of guest speakers. Among them: 
  • Jeffrey Prosser, a Golden West alum, who graduated from Biola University in Communications has produced a number of short films. He spoke to our class on the value of following your passion and pressing past obstacles.
  • Zack Green is a Golden West alum who owns an independent production company specializing in commercials, documentaries and storytelling. He often invites students to intern.
  • Cinematographer Adam Beck from 3B Digital Studios demonstrated the new RED Dragon Camera. Adam talked about rack focus, video formats, and industry specialization. They also encouraged students to pursue with passion what interests them most. Adam is a MWHS Alum and graduated from RED Film School.
  • Stunt woman Katie Eischen shared her dare devil work falling from a 14 story tower wearing a brides gown. Katie shared her demo reel and talked about what it's like to be a stunt woman. Katie's credits include stunts for Jennifer Lawrence in Hunger Games, Rachel Wise in Bourne Legacy, and Sofia Vergara in the Rooms to Go commercial
  • Brian Keith - is a local graduate who became a music engineer. He has been the sound mixer for a number of short films and is currently write an action-adventure script about a librarian who is a bad-a** secret agent.
  • Scott Seargeant, a local filmmaker owns Revolier Films, infinite pursuit of e-motion. Scott has produced a number of award winning films. My students worked as a crew on his film, The Fallen. He's speaks to my class each year on how to connect to the industry.

  • James Ward - Chief Editor of "Choices" section of the Visalia Times Delta. James talked about the value of following your passion where ever it takes you. He showed his work and explained how important it was to develop good communication skills and to have confidence in your own opinions.
  • Socrates Lorenzo - Photographer with ABC30 Action News. Socrates showed his portfolio and talked about the value of finding the story inside the incident by focusing on the people who are affected. He encouraged students to try to see the tragedy through their eyes.
